MonkePal ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.

2. Data We Collect

We collect minimal data. The App is designed to work primarily on-device.

  • Screen Time Data: Usage data is processed entirely on your device using Apple's Screen Time API. We never see, collect, or transmit which apps you use or how long you use them.
  • App Settings: Your preferences (daily goals, blocking schedules, selected apps) are stored locally on your device and synced via your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to this data.
  • Subscription Status: Your subscription is managed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We verify subscription status through Apple's StoreKit framework on-device.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

We want to be clear about what we do not do:

  • We do not collect personal information (name, email, phone number).
  • We do not track your location.
  • We do not collect or transmit your screen time or app usage data to any server.
  • We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs.
  • We do not sell, share, or rent any user data to third parties.
  • We do not display advertisements.

4. On-Device Processing

All screen time monitoring, app blocking, health score calculation, and usage tracking is performed entirely on your device. The App uses Apple's DeviceActivity and ManagedSettings frameworks, which are designed to protect user privacy by keeping all data on-device.

5. iCloud Sync

If you have iCloud enabled, your app settings and health history may sync across your devices through your personal iCloud account. This data is encrypted and managed by Apple. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
